I also think that if you set Windows 7 to XP compatibility, everything will be fine. Although I haven't tried it myself yet.

1) Sometimes two items with similar names appear in the app list.
2) Can I scroll through the links on that page (your link) with my finger?

1) Now it's clear... as far as I remember, after installation the theme leaves the tsk theme itself and the installed cab with the goodies in the list of programs...
2) You can't scroll in any text editor, because the stylus selects the text - so only the slider... the latest version of Office 6.1 was released a long time ago IMHO... although who knows - this spring Microsoft plans to release Windows Mobile 7 with Office Mobile 7 pre-installed - maybe we'll get something :yes2:

You're wrong about the verd. I used to have a Nuclear program (6.1), and its built-in verd would scroll with my finger. Maybe this is a quirk of 6.1 itself? Doesn't this happen on 6.5?

Reflashing the HTC Artemis (HTC P3300)
(installing unofficial firmware)

Attention!!! The material provided by the author is unofficial. Neither the software author nor the site administration bear any liability in the event of unsuccessful firmware installation or device failure. All actions are performed at your own risk. No one but you bears any liability for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the installation or any other use of unofficial firmware. These firmware versions are not the official firmware of your device manufacturer and are simply a compilation of files provided by various sources. If you are unsure of your abilities, it is best to refrain from updating the firmware or entrust it to professionals. We also strongly recommend that you first familiarize yourself with all the risks, methods, and other information provided on the forum and online. Incorrect firmware installation may result in partial or complete loss of functionality of your device. In any case, installing unofficial firmware may void the manufacturer's warranty.

1. Unlocking the bootloader (SPL).
In communicators with official firmware installed (hereinafter referred to as "firmware"), the bootloader firmware (SPL) only allows for official firmware to be flashed. To install unofficial firmware posted on this site and other relevant internet resources, a modified bootloader must be installed.
You can check the bootloader version by rebooting the device. If the communicator boots up and displays the line "SPL 1.11.cmon" (see photo), then unlocking the SPL is not required and you can proceed to step "2. Installing unofficial firmware on the communicator." If the SPL version is different, read the rest of the instructions carefully.

1.1. Fully charge the communicator and remove the memory card (if you reprogram the device with an uncharged battery, the battery capacity information may be corrupted and you will need to calibrate the battery ).
1.2. Unzip Attached filethe Artemis_USPL_nosize_all_windows.rar archive (1.52 MB)
into a folder whose name contains only valid characters (e.g. C:\1\)
. 1.3. Connect your communicator to ActiveSync (for XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for Vista or SE7). Synchronization is not required - you can do it in "guest mode".
1.4. Run the start_uspl.exe file and see the following window:

Wait until the process reaches 100%—you'll see a penguin on the device's screen for a couple of seconds. After that, the device's screen will turn white, and the RomUpdateUtility
1.5 flasher will automatically launch on your computer. In the flasher, agree to the terms and conditions (check the appropriate boxes and click "Next").

1.6. The installation of the modified bootloader (SPL 1.11.cmon) will begin. After installation (a few seconds), the communicator will reboot itself and the bootloader version on its screen will change to SPL 1.11.cmon (as in the photo at the beginning of this manual).

Now we have the ability to install unofficial firmware of any size.

Note: when installing the official firmware, the original bootloader version (SPL) is also installed, so to install unofficial firmware, you must reinstall the modified bootloader (SPL 1.11.cmon).

2. Installing unofficial firmware on the communicator
2.1. Fully charge the communicator and remove the memory card (reflashing the device with an uncharged battery may corrupt the battery capacity information and require battery calibration )
. 2.2. Unzip Attached filethe Artemis_Flasher.rar archive (502.37 KB)
into a folder whose name contains only valid characters (e.g. C:\1\)
2.3. Copy the firmware file with the .nbh extension to the folder with the flasher (there should only be one file with the .nbh extension in this folder)

2.4. Perform a hard reset: hold down the left and right soft keys, press the reset button with the stylus, and hold the soft keys until a message appears on the screen (see photo).

Press the call button (the green handset) to confirm the hard reset.

2.5. Reboot the device into BootLoader mode ("tricolor"). To do this, press and hold the "Voice Recorder" and "Power" buttons, press the reset button with the stylus, and hold the buttons until multicolored stripes appear on the screen (see photo).

962 x 1446 (85.08 KB)

2.6. Connect the communicator to the computer using a USB cable.
2.7. Launch the RomUpdateUtility.exe flasher
. 2.8. Follow all steps exactly as described in step 1.5 of this manual. The flashing process will begin and will take 5-10 minutes. You can monitor the progress on the communicator or computer screen:

2.9. After the firmware update is complete, the device will reboot automatically. Remove the data cable from the device, close the RomUpdateUtility program on your computer, and perform a hard reset (follow all steps exactly as in section 2.4 of this manual).

Can anyone explain the settings for the "Weather" plugin? What website does it update from? How do I enter my city? Searching for this topic didn't yield any useful results. Trying it out didn't help—the settings just require entering the city code. Where can I find it? The firmware is Shady313_28005_RUS_R2_SE.

In the settings you just have to enter the city code - where can I get it?

Adding a city:

▪ Go to www.accuweather.com
▪ Search for the desired city
▪ For example, Kharkiv, Ukraine: _ http://www.accuweather.com/world-index-forecast.asp?partner=accuweather&locCode=EUR|UA|UP006|KHARKIV|&u=1
▪ Go to Start-Addons-Titanium Weather Setup
▪ Forecast Options/Setup
▪ Zip or Location Code and enter EUR|UA|UP006|KHARKIV
▪ Return to the first menu, select Run Weather Update and exit

▪ Go to Start-Addons-Titanium Weather Setup

Thanks. The only problem is that the weather add-on isn't available in Start. I just highlight the add-on on my desktop, click Menu at the bottom, and go to Settings. You can enter your area code there.

No way.
P.S. It's impossible to completely remove it, unless you disable unnecessary items in the registry and remove shortcuts from the program list...

I meant to remove it completely from the firmware, that is, I want to completely clean it so that there is more space.

Hi everyone, I installed WM 6.5.3 SHADY313 Build 28005 Release 2 RUS. It's really annoying that if I go into standby mode (or whatever it's called) with programs running, the PDA won't come out of it. A soft reset helps. This used to happen on 6.5, but rarely, and sometimes twice a day. Are these problems with Navitel 2gis and especially with Pigeon? Why is this happening?????????

I've been using this version since its release. Sometimes, with a large number of programs running, only 1-1.5m remain, but even then, what you described has never happened. Try updating the firmware. The firmware works like a charm!

I don't understand why some people have no problems, while others have no problems at all?!

That's because you don't want to read the literature they provide you! For example, I even flash from a USB drive and have never had any problems! READ MORE, GENTLEMEN!!! And don't be afraid to experiment.

Then it's better to install Lite without Titanium right away.

I have nothing against him. It's just too much. It's the same thing from post to post! Afraid to even look at the FAQ or just skim the posts! So many warnings have been written, and still nothing! I understand when someone has done everything possible but still hasn't found a solution to their problem. But this leaves the impression that they're all idiots. My apologies if I said anything wrong.

Could you please tell me how I can shrink the interface in firmware 6.5.3? I mean, when I go to settings and everything is zoomed in, how can I make it smaller? It looks really bad. Reducing the font size in settings makes things even worse. Thank you in advance for your answer!

How can I reduce the interface size in firmware 6.5.3?

Try installing a theme from 6.1.

 I made a quick cab. For those who have problems with the keys (or rather, their absence in the settings) in the WM 6.5 OS CE 5.2.21884 Attached fileL_S_nv_button1.1.cab firmware (4.44 KB)
, after installation, you need to go to start\settings\personal\buttons\ and assign each button as you wish. You cannot assign the same function to two buttons.
