Open Settings . Select Phone > Language > Predictive text to turn intelligent text input on or off.

Predictive text input is available only when you use the Alphanumeric keypad.

When writing text with the Alphanumeric keypad, you can tap the text input icon to turn predictive text on or off.

Tap the Options icon and select from the following:

• Writing language – Change the writing language.
• Add symbol – Add symbols and punctuation marks.
• Predictive text – Select Add word to add words into your own dictionary, or select Off to turn off predictive text input.
• Activate predictive text – Turn on predictive text input.
• Number mode – Switch to number mode to enter digits.

The available options may vary.
