Select Conversations, tap an IM group and select Join or Open.

Tip:
You can also create a new IM group. Select Conversations, or tap your own user data, an invitation, a conversation, or a group, and select Options > New conversation > Create group.

IM groups may not be available if the server does not support them.
To send a message, tap the message editing field, enter your message, and select Options > Send.
To switch to another open conversation or invitation, tap the desired tab.
Select Options and select from the following:

Open
– Open a received picture.

Save
– Save a received picture in Media.

Add smiley
– Add a smiley to your message.

Automatic find on
– Search for text strings in the messages.

Reply
– Send a message only to the sender of the selected message.

Forward
– Forward the selected message to another IM group or contact.

Send picture
– Select From Pictures or New picture to send a saved or a new picture.

Send private message
– Send a message to selected members of a group.

Send invitation
– Invite an IM user to join the group.

Leave IM group
– End your participation in the group conversation.

Group
– Save a group, view a group’s current members, view details of a group, or edit group settings. Editing group settings is only available if you have editing rights for the group.

Save conversation
– Save a copy of a conversation. The conversation is saved as a text file that you can open and view in the Notes application.

Copying options
– Cut, copy, paste, or use other text editing options.
