Open Messaging .

Select Options > Settings > Text message, and from the following:

• Message centres – Add or edit message centres in your phone and SIM card.
• Message centre in use – Change the message centre.
• Character encoding – Select Full support to prevent automatic character conversion to another encoding system, or Reduced support to use conversion when available.
• Receive report – To track your messages after sending, select Yes.
• Message validity – Select for how long the message centre tries to resend your text messages if the first attempt fails. When the time expires, the message is deleted.
• Message sent as – Select whether your text messages are sent as text, fax or paging.
• Preferred connection – Select which connection type is used to send your text messages.
• Reply via same centre – To allow recipients of your text messages who do not subscribe to a text message service to reply using your message centre, select Yes.

The settings available for editing may vary.

To save your settings, select Back.
