After you turn on your phone and enter your PIN, the name of the network operator appears. This view is your default standby theme. Your phone is now ready for use.
The default standby theme provides five different views:
- Favourite contacts – provides quick access to your favourite contacts.
- Shortcuts – provides quick access to your favourite applications and websites.
- Twitter™ – provides quick access to social networking application Twitter™.
- Albums – provides quick access to your latest photos and video clips.
- Flow – displays a wave that adjusts itself horizontally irrespective of the orientation in which you hold the phone.

To see the network operator name, time and date, or access the standby music player and touchbar at the bottom of the display, press the end key.
The touchbar contains four applications:
- Keypad – Make calls.
- Media – Go to the main Media menu.
- Messaging – Send and receive messages.
- Search – Search the phone or the Internet.
To change the standby theme
- Select Settings > Personal > Standby > Standby theme.
- Tap a theme you wish to change and select Options > Set.
