Don't think that these are some kind of test versions with a bunch of errors, no, these are absolutely normal working firmware that you can safely use, which is what most people do, moreover, some of these betas subsequently become official. Usually 1-2 new versions become available per month, while the official firmware has never been updated since the start of sales in Russia. Further, for simplicity, we will call all firmware from Samsung official , and firmware created by users custom (custom). When flashing, it is highly recommended to use a laptop or computer connected to an uninterruptible power supply, because in the event of a power failure, there is a chance to get a "brick" from the phone, which cannot be restored at home. If you want to insure yourself against surprises as much as possible, it is also not recommended to flash the bootloader ( eBoot ), the need to flash it arises only when you switch from a firmware based on Windows Mobile version 6.1 to firmware 6.5, as well as when updating to firmware A5 or newer (for more details, see the OCTANS Downloader section) During the flashing process, all your information in the phone will be lost (contacts, SMS, programs, etc.), so before flashing, do not forget to save your data. OCTANS Downloader firmware program version 2.1 | 2.13 | 2.14 (starting with firmware version JA5, you must use version 2.13 or higher), there is also a modified version 2.13 mini from the respected Sorg , in which unnecessary settings are hidden and the default setting is not to clear the phone's memory (read more about the settings in the OCTANS Downloader section) 2. WinCE Serial USB host driver for WinXP / Win7 x32 version 4.0 or 5.0 for WinXP / Win7 x64 version 3.7 3. A set of files for flashing Custom firmware usually consists of a PDA file with the .nb0 extension , sometimes an edited CSC file is uploaded to it, while official firmware consists of 4 files: CSC_I8000 XXXXXX .CSC - a set of language settings Eboot_I8000 XXXXXX _HW_40.eb0 - PDA_I8000 bootloader XXXXXX _HW_40.MST - container file, which contains PDA part and language files for different countries Phone_I8000 XXXXXX _REV_04.bin - telephone module XXXXXX - alphanumeric code, which encrypts the current year, month and firmware version in this month and other information (for decoding of marking, see below in the Firmware marking section). If the downloaded firmware has several files like I8000NXXJB1.zip.001, I8000NXXJB1.zip.002, I8000NXXJB1.zip.003, etc., then they can be collected into one using Total Commander (File menu - collect files), or using 7zip, or (if neither is installed) a simple console command: copy /B I8000NXXJB1.zip.001 +I8000NXXJB1.zip.002 +I8000NXXJB1.zip.003 +I8000NXXJB1.zip.004 +I8000NXXJB1.zip.005 +I8000NXXJB1.zip.006 I8000NXXJB1.zip Firmware for Windows XP/2000/2003 Usually there are no problems with firmware for these systems, everything is very simple OPTION 1 using ActiveSync I leave it as the main one, because 99% of users install ActiveSync anyway, why then multiply unnecessary programs and drivers on your computer, if you can do without them # 1. Install ActiveSync 4.5 (download here ) 2. Turn off the phone completely 3. Connect to the computer with a USB cable (an animation of the phone charging will appear on the device screen), after which the installation of the WinCE Serial USB host driver begins, wait for it to install (the driver version 4.0 is installed, the same as indicated above) 4. Remove the USB cable from the phone, do not turn on the phone 5. Launch OCTANS and select the files and settings required for the firmware Now we need to select the files for the firmware. If you are flashing the official firmware from Samsung, then click the buttons below and select the corresponding files (using the JB1 firmware as an example): Eboot - Eboot_I8000NXXJB1_HW_40.eb0 MultiCSC - CSC_I8000NXXJB1.CSC MoviNAND - PDA_I8000NXXJB1_HW_40.MST Phone - Phone_I8000XXJB1.bin Then be sure to select the I8000SERJB1.csc file in the "CSC File Select" field, while in the upper "Language Select" field the language should automatically change to Russian (Russia), if it has not changed, change it yourself (if you want an English-language firmware, then select English (UK), it is recommended to read more about these settings in the OCTANS Downloader section. If you want to flash a custom firmware, then click the PDA button and select the appropriate file with the .nb0 extension, if the firmware comes with a CSC, click on MultiCSC and select it (the CSC File Select field will be inactive, since custom CSCs contain settings for only one country). Check the Preserve device's contents box so that the program does not format the internal memory of the phone. Read more about the OCTANS Downloader settings below in the corresponding section. 6. Press the Detect button, and at the bottom of the program status window the following messages should appear: [Setup] Windows XP [Setup] Download Ram Size: 41777920 bytes, (39 MB) 7. Connect the switched off phone to the USB cable (insert the USB cable), if everything is OK, then the message OnDeviceChange \\?\USB#VID_04E8&PID... should appear and the "Start downoading" button should become active, and the color of the PDA0 message in the upper right part of the window should change from yellow to green, and the phone itself will enter the Firmware mode and the message Download Mode with an exclamation mark will appear on its screen. 8. Press the "Start downoading" button - the firmware has started The firmware process lasts about 15 minutes, and there are 3 visible stages: uploading and flashing the selected files into the device, then there will be a reboot and the installation of language files will begin (if you are flashing a custom firmware, then the stage of installing language files is skipped, since they are already contained in the PDA part), after that the first boot will occur and you will be asked to calibrate the device, do not touch anything and wait, at this moment the CSC is installed and the final configuration of the device is underway, upon completion there will be an automatic reboot, now as soon as it comes to calibration you can safely calibrate and work with your phone. The firmware is complete. Do not close OCTANS until the inscription [Success] All Download finished appears in the status bar, and the inscription Job Done appears in the progress bar. Launched!! OPTION 2 without using ActiveSync We use it if you do not want to install ActiveSync. # 1. Before running OCTANS, you need to install the modem driver, for this, download and unpack the required driver from the link above, let it be version 5.0 as newer 2. Turn off the phone, connect it with a USB cable to the computer (at the same time, the animation of the phone charging will appear on the device screen), the computer detects a new device and offers to install it, refuse and go to the Device Manager, there we have a device with a question mark ![]() 3. Right-click on it and select Update in the pop-up window ![]() 4. In the next window, check "Install from the specified location and click" then ![]() 5. In the next window, check the box "Enable the following search location" and uncheck the box Search removable media, click the browse button and specify the folder where you unpacked the driver ![]() 6. The installation will begin and a request will appear to install an unsigned driver, click "Continue anyway" This installs our driver, now in the device manager we see Samsung MITs USB Sync. ![]() Next, we act as indicated in OPTION 1, starting with point 4. We remove the USB cable from the phone, do not turn on the phone... OPTION 3 using Samsung CDMA Modem driver # At the moment I have not been able to flash the phone using this driver without ActiveSync, because the installation inf files contain only 2 equipment identifiers USB\VID_04E8&PID_ 6601 and USB\VID_04E8&PID_ 6640 , but my phone has a different identifier USB\VID_04E8&PID_ 6619 , it does not match any of them and therefore does not install (the same thing for a number of other users - a different identifier). If you add your identifier to the installation files, the drivers start installing and then freeze when installing the Samsung CDMA Modem, after which it does not work with OCTANS Downloader. In this regard, additional testing is required, all instructions mention the need to install this driver, at the same time, on all tested systems (WinXP, Vista, Win7) these drivers were not used and everything was fine. There is an idea that everyone who flashed the firmware with these drivers simultaneously installed ActiveSync, in this case the ActiveSync driver was used. Firmware for Vista (x32/x64) # 1. Connect the completely switched off phone to the computer and wait until the system installs the driver for it (by default, driver version 6.0 will be installed on a clean system). After installation, a new device Mobile device - Samsung MITs USB Sync will appear in the device manager. If the driver is not installed, and an unknown device GT-I8000 appears in the device manager, then install the driver update for WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center) from the disk supplied with the phone, in this case driver 6.1 will be installed. In any case, I recommend installing it to avoid problems with synchronization in the future. 2. Disconnect the phone from the computer, do not turn it on 3. Launch OCTANS Downloader and select the files and settings necessary for flashing. Immediately after launch, the inscription Service stopped successfully will appear in the program status window , this is normal, ignore it and continue. Now we need to select the files for flashing. 4. Press the Detect button, and at the bottom of the program status window the following messages should appear: [Setup] Windows Vista [Setup] Download Ram Size: 41777920 bytes, (39 MB) Service is already stopped. So I will NOT Re-start the service... 5. 6. Press the "Start downoading" button - the firmware has started The firmware process lasts about 15 minutes, and there are 3 visible stages: uploading and flashing the selected files into the device, then there will be a reboot and the installation of language files will begin (if you are flashing a custom firmware, then the stage of installing language files is skipped, since they are already contained in the PDA part), after that the first boot will occur and you will be asked to calibrate the device, do not touch anything and wait, at this moment the CSC is installed and the final configuration of the device is in progress, upon completion there will be an automatic reboot, now as soon as it comes to calibration you can safely calibrate and work with your phone. The firmware is complete. Do not close OCTANS until the inscription [Success] All Download finished appears in the status bar, and the inscription Job Done appears in the progress bar. Launched!! Note: For those who for some reason did not follow these instructions, you can try setting the OCTANS Downloader compatibility mode to Windows XP (SP3), if that does not help, then do everything as indicated below in the instructions for Firmware for Windows7. Firmware for Windows7 (x32/x64) Mobile Device Center is not used during the firmware process. # If you have a x64 (64-bit) system version, then before starting the firmware procedure you need to disable the check for unsigned drivers, to do this, reboot the computer and before loading Windows, press the F8 button until the additional boot options menu appears, where we select "Disable mandatory driver signature verification", then wait until the computer boots (this operation may have to be done every time after rebooting, before flashing, be sure to check the driver version) 1. Before launching OCTANS, you need to install the USB driver for the phone, to do this, download and unpack the required driver, for 32-bit versions, download version 4.0 , for 64-bit versions, version 3.7 1.1. Turn off the phone, connect it to the computer with a USB cable (an animation of the phone charging will appear on the device screen), and after a few seconds the installation will begin on the computer, wait until the installation is complete (if the installation failed for some reason, and an unknown device GT-I8000 appeared in the Device Manager, then do not pay attention and move on to the next step of the instructions, we will need to install the driver in the same way as described below). 1.2. By default, the native driver version 6.1 will be installed, this driver will not suit us, it needs to be replaced/updated to version 4.0 if the system is x32 bit or to version 3.7 if x64 bit (version 5.0 is not recommended for use, because it does not work stably) To do this, go to Start -> Control Panel -> select the Large icons view mode on the top right -> Device Manager -> Double-click on the Samsung MITs USB Sync device, ![]() Driver tab, click the Update button, ![]() select Search for drivers on this computer -> select Select a driver from the list of already installed drivers -> click the Install from disk button -> Browse button, ![]() then find and select the previously unpacked driver "wceusbsh.inf" -> Open -> Ok -> Next -> the installation will begin, a window may appear warning that the driver does not have a digital signature, do not pay attention and install it anyway, after that a window will appear about successful installation, close it and check the driver version, it should be 4.0.4232.0 for x32 systems and 3.7.1.3244 for x64. ![]() 2. Disconnect the phone from the computer, do not turn it on 3. Go to the folder where you unpacked OCTANS Downloader, right-click on the OCTANS_Downloader_v2.14.exe file, select Properties, then on the Compatibility tab check the Run this program in compatibility mode box and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3), also check the box "Run this program as an administrator" ![]() 4.Launch OCTANS and select the files and settings needed for flashing. If the message Service stopped successfully appears in the status window at the bottom, it means you did not set the compatibility mode in the previous step, go back and set it. Now we need to select the files for flashing. 5. Press the Detect button, and at the bottom of the program status window the following messages should appear [Setup] Windows XP [Setup] Download Ram Size: 41777920 bytes, (39 MB) If the last message that appeared was "Service is already stopped. So I will NOT Re-start the service...", then you did not set the compatibility mode in step 3, press the Reset All button, close OCTANS, set compatibility and start with step 4 (if you do not do this and continue to follow the instructions, multiple errors will appear in pop-up windows and the OCTANS status window will contain messages like in Figure ![]() 6. Connect the switched off phone to the USB cable (insert the USB cable), if everything is normal, then the message OnDeviceChange \\?\USB#VID_04E8&PID... should appear and the "Start downoading" button should become active and the color of the PDA0 message in the upper right part of the window should change from yellow to green, and the phone itself will enter the Firmware mode and the inscription Download Mode with an exclamation mark appeared on its screen. The main problems with the firmware arise precisely at this stage, the following situations are possible: *** The inscription OnDeviceChange... appeared, but the "Start downoading" button is inactive, this means that most likely you have not updated the driver, press the Reset All button, close OCTANS and perform step 1.2, then start with step 4, if you are still sure that the driver is updated, try the following options for solving the problem Solution options : - close OCTANS, disconnect the phone from USB, and do everything from step 4, - close OCTANS, disconnect the phone from USB, take out the battery for 5 seconds and do everything from step 4, - close OCTANS, disconnect the phone from USB and insert it into another USB port on the computer, and do everything from step 4 - close OCTANS, disconnect the phone from USB, reboot the computer, and do everything from point 1.2 (since you will need to replace the driver again) - try to install driver version 4.0 instead of 5.0 - install a virtual machine with Windows XP or find a friend's computer with Windows XP *** After connecting the phone, the above-mentioned OnDeviceChange.... message did not appear, this means that most likely the phone connected to the computer with an error (it has a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager), ![]() Solution options - pull the USB cable out of the phone for 5 seconds and insert it back, try 2-3 times if the first time did not work, do not touch OCTANS, it is in device standby mode - pull the USB cable out of the phone, remove the battery for 5 seconds and insert it back, connect the cable, do not touch OCTANS, it is in device standby mode - try to disconnect the device in the device manager (mouse right key - disconnect) and then connect (mouse right key - to use) in this case you do not need to disconnect the phone from USB, do not touch OCTANS either, it is in the device standby mode. - close OCTANS, disconnect the phone from USB, reboot the computer, and do everything from point 4 7. Press the "Start downoading" button - the firmware has begun The firmware process lasts about 15 minutes, and there are 3 visible stages: uploading and flashing the selected files into the device, then there will be a reboot and the installation of language files will begin (if you are flashing a custom firmware, then the stage of installing language files is skipped, since they are already contained in the PDA part), after that the first boot will occur and you will be asked to calibrate the device, do not touch anything and wait, at this moment the CSC is installed and the final configuration of the device is underway, upon completion there will be an automatic reboot, now as soon as it comes to calibration you can safely calibrate and work with your phone. The firmware is complete. Do not close OCTANS until the inscription [Success] All Download finished appears in the status bar, and the inscription Job Done appears in the progress bar. Launched!! OCTANS DOWNLOADER In this section we will take a closer look at the settings of the program itself. # Mode Select - you can select Normal or SMD mode, it should be Normal - normal firmware mode. In SMD mode, an additional setting SMD Binary appears, the use of which threatens to reset the IMEI number of the phone and calibration data. Eboot button - selects the bootloader, a file with the .eb0 extension. This is the most dangerous part of the firmware, since it is at this stage that in the event of any failure there is a very high probability of getting a "brick" that cannot be restored at home. If you want to insure yourself against surprises as much as possible, it is not recommended to constantly flash it, do it only when necessary - when switching from firmware based on Windows Mobile version 6.1 to firmware based on version 6.5 (or vice versa). It is also necessary to do this when updating to firmware A5 or newer from earlier firmware, while flashing it once is enough, after which you can no longer flash it with new firmware. For example, you have the I8000SERIJC firmware, it is based on WM6.5, but younger than A5, so when updating to A5 or newer JB1 is necessary BUT! eboot firmware is not necessary, if you do not do this, you will have 5 MB less RAM, because from version A5 Samsung reduced the pagepool in the firmware by 5 MB. Let's say we flashed to A5 now we want to flash to a newer one, for example JB1 in this case, there is no need to flash the bootloader. PagePool is a memory area allocated from RAM and used by the system to cache information. Roughly speaking, by increasing the PagePool size, you can achieve a faster system response to user actions. By decreasing, more memory for running applications. Eboot firmware lasts only a few seconds. The PDA button is the firmware file itself, with the nb0 extension. Almost all custom firmware is in this format. When flashing custom firmware, usually only this file is flashed, sometimes it comes with an edited CSC with specific settings for one language. When flashing with official firmware, this field is not used. MultiCSC is a container file containing settings for different countries. CSC can be simple (for one country, usually come with custom firmware) or MultiCSC (for many countries, as in official firmware). CSC file is Country Specific Config and has practically no relation to the interface language. This file contains boot screensavers for switching on, charging and firmware, settings of domestic operators, and may also contain customization files, such as animated screensavers, widgets, installation cab files, etc., in general, everything that is related to this country BUT NOT TO THE LANGUAGE. The languages themselves (language settings and MUI files) are in the main PDA firmware (nb0 or mst), they actually contain the translation of the interface. In this case, the language is installed separately in the second stage after the firmware and the first reboot, so it is important to select Russian in the Language Select field - Russian (Russia) this will provide us with a Russian interface, in the CSC File Select field you need to select I8000SERXXX.csc - the abbreviation SER corresponds to the Russian language (XXX is the firmware number), this will provide us with the correct GPRS / MMS settings for domestic operators, Russian widgets, screensavers, etc. In addition, if desired, you can, for example, select CSC for Russia and set the interface language to English or CSC for England, and select Russian as the language. If you suddenly forgot to select the correct language (Language Select) or country file (CSC File Select), then you need to re-flash only the CSC file with the correct parameters, naturally this will lead to XP. Be careful . When changing the "CSC File Select" field, the "Language Select" field will usually automatically change in accordance with the selected CSC, but not vice versa (see the decoding of the marking of language CSC files below in the firmware marking section). MoviNAND - MST firmware file, a container that contains the firmware itself and language files for all supported countries, including Russia, usually comes bundled with a CSC file, without which the "Language Select" field will not be active and you will not be able to select the desired language (nevertheless, language files from the language that was flashed last will be installed). When flashing using this file, a hidden section \basefolder is created in the phone's memory with a capacity of 512 MB (this volume is taken from 8 GB of built-in memory), cubic37.mli is written to it (it is needed to change the phone language without flashing from the phone settings) Phone - the telephone part of the firmware, an update for the GSM module, affects the quality of communication, GPS, Wi-Fi and bluetooth, you can try flashing different versions to find the best ones, the latest one is not necessarily the best for you, much depends on your operator, coverage, etc. Erase NV PDA - this option deletes some factory settings, such as the address of the bluetooth adapter and Wi-Fi module (according to unverified data, the battery calibration is also reset), the MAC address after reset is FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF. Not recommended for use! You can restore/change MAC addresses using service codes (*#1546792*# - Administrator menu -> Internal (password *#0807#) -> BT MacAddress and WIFI MacAddress (password 1234), then in the top field we enter the new MAC and press the Execute button. If you have not saved the original addresses, you can use the ones below (addresses from a real phone), do not forget to change the last couple of characters so that the number is unique. Bluetooth MAC 60 D0 A9 05 C9 88 WiFi MAC 00 21 19 AA 6D E4 The first 3 octets (3 pairs of characters) indicate the manufacturer (vendor of the device), in this case Samsung, so it is better to leave the first 6 characters as is, the rest can be changed if desired (info from vetaldep ) Erase CSC - clears the CSC area in the phone, while the charging animation in the off state, on and off will disappear phone shutdown, as well as pictures that appear when flashing the phone. When using this option, the device will not be customized during the first boot after XP or firmware, this means that most of the settings and files responsible for Russification will not be installed (wallpaper, widgets, animations and sounds for turning on / off, GPRS / MMS operator settings), while a forced 2nd reboot after flashing will not be performed. This option is automatically disabled (unchecked) if you selected a CSC file for flashing. Skip OS updating by MoviNAND image - when selecting this option and selecting an MST file for flashing, as usual, the cubic37.mli image file will be written to the hidden section \basefolder, but the firmware will not be updated. Preserve device's contents - If you do not want the internal memory of the phone to be formatted during flashing (not to be confused with the microSD memory card, it is not formatted), then you must check the box. In order not to constantly remember about this setting, I recommend using OCTANS Downloader 2.13 mini from Sorg, in it the checkbox is set by default. This option is used only when flashing official firmware and selecting an MST file , when flashing custom firmware, this option is ignored, the memory is not cleared. This option is also recommended if the flashing process hangs without completing (do not check the box). Skip over waiting for booting completely - the program does not wait for confirmation of the complete boot of the device after flashing, but immediately after the first reboot ends the process. Start downloading immediately - the flashing process begins immediately after connecting the phone and recognizing it in the program, you do not need to press the Start downloading button. Any of the firmware files can be flashed separately, there is nothing wrong with that, and when flashing the phone part and bootloader (eboot), XP does not occur, in other cases it will be produced. ![]() Jetfire ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [offline] Group: Moderator Posts: 5742 Registration: 07/08/06 Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 12/256/512/1024 Reputation: 1271 ![]() | Removing hidden section \BASEFOLDER # Our device has 8GB of built-in memory, on the Russian firmware by default it is called "Phone memory", its full volume is 7836MB, while only 7324MB is available for use, another 512MB is a reserve, actually this reserve will be discussed. The 512MB section is a reserved hidden section \BASEFOLDER , you can get to it using, for example, Total Commander CE, for this, in the address bar, type \BASEFOLDER ![]() in this section is the PowerDic program and the firmware image file, in fact, this file is needed only so that you can change the interface language in the future. I think that 512MB will not be superfluous, and the language is installed during the firmware, let's delete this section. If you need the PowerDic program, then copy the Programs folder from the hidden section to the microSD or to the main memory, after deleting the section, you will need to create a Basefolder folder in the main memory of the device (next to the Program Files and Windows folders) and copy this Programs folder to the newly created Basefolder folder. Now the actual process itself: 1. Go to the Samsung settings on the General tab and in the USB connection item, select Removable disk - Phone memory, click OK 2. Connect the phone to the computer, if an autorun window suddenly appears asking what to do with the USB device, close it. 3. Download the HP USB Storage Format Tool program and run it, select the device we need in the drop-down list, for me it looks like this, ![]() select FAT32 if it is not by default, check the Quick Format box and click Start, a window will appear asking for formatting confirmation, click YES, wait until the formatting is finished and an information window appears (about 15 seconds), close it and the program. 4. Disconnect the phone from the computer and go to the Samsung settings on the Memory tab - Phone memory, there we can see that we now have 7824 Free memory, the reserve has not gone anywhere either, but in fact it is not there, just in case you can click the Reset button, which will format the flash drive, but for me everything works anyway. Due to the fact that the program cannot calculate the total size of the drive without a hidden partition, then the total memory after deletion shows more than it actually is - 8336 MB. Screenshots before and after deleting the section. That's it! If you want to get the hidden partition back , then run OCTANS, select MST from the firmware you have, check the Skip OS updating by MoviNAND image box and do not check the Preserve device's contents box , click Start Downloading , ![]() after that, for some time, Octans will upload the image to the phone, then the phone will reboot, XP will not occur, but all data in the phone's memory (8 GB) will naturally be deleted. Note! If you want to install any official firmware in the future, you will need to flash it with the Preserve device's contents option disabled , otherwise the firmware will hang at the language installation stage. This happens because we deleted the hidden partition with the firmware image (the image also contains the language), and when you check the Preserve device's contents box, it is not re-created. Disassembling, editing, assembling firmware In this section, we will consider the process of saving the current firmware from the phone, its disassembly, editing and assembly. We will also consider the programs necessary for this. # Supplement from Angel_666 here Supplement from EgOrrr here and here Supplement from vetaldep here Necessary programs: 1. EXEcutor from Pako777 - for disassembling, assembling and a number of other manipulations with firmware. The program is constantly evolving, new versions and news on the program look in this topic. 2. Dskdump.exe from Sorg - for dumping firmware, as well as for dumping, you can use Executor from Pako777 - the result is the same. 3. Instructions for working with the Samsung i8000 kitchen step by step from endru + kitchen from wes58 Frequently asked questions # Is in the process of creation. Q: Is it possible to flash the phone part, language settings and bootloader (eboot) separately? A: It is possible to flash in any combination and separately. This applies to both custom firmware and official ones. For more information about eboot, see the section OCTANS Downloader -> eboot Q: After flashing, GPRS/EDGE does not work, I can’t create my own connection A: You need to flash the correct CSC file with language settings, see the section OCTANS Downloader -> MultiCSC Q: After flashing, when loading, an orange logo (or another left-hand picture) now pops up and many widgets are in an incomprehensible language A: You need to flash the correct CSC file with language settings, see the section OCTANS Downloader -> MultiCSC Q: After flashing, Bluetooth or WIFI does not work A: Go to the Samsung settings (Start-Settings), go to the System tab (last tab) -> Version -> Device, look at the MAC addresses, if they look like FF FF FF FF FF FF, then you need to restore them, how to restore, see the section OCTANS Downloader -> Erase NV PDA Q:After flashing, SMS is sent as question marks A:It is necessary to enable "use unicode when necessary" in messages-menu-parameters-creation mode Alternative option - in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings set "SMSUnicode"=dword:1 Q:How to add a shortcut to VM settings A:In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo set "HideSettings"=dword:00000000 Q:How to prohibit automatic keyboard pop-up in all programs?
